Short Stories and Doorways

Like music, stories are temporal experiences. Narratives guide you through their timelines while you’re also living yours. The writer’s temporal loops are present too. Story, reader, writer – we all have our threads and webs to weave into each other.

With these short stories I’m conjuring spaces and places too. In my mind, you’re entering an exhibition hall with a series of rooms. In each room, ideas, images and imaginal sculptures represent keys to the doorways that already exist in you. Each doorway is a passage to wherever you find yourself. Some of them join up around the back of your current reality. All are shoots from my own root system.
